You display a folder with a flap comprising of a see- through window frame with a picture of a snake on it.
The flap is closed, and a spectator invited to pick a card.
When the flap is dropped, the snake card in the window now has the selected card in its mouth! It is removed from the window and can be examined by the audience.
This is ideal to have two cards selected say the Six and Four of Clubs. When the snake is again shown it has only one card which is the the TEN of Clubs - you explain that six plus four equals ten - the snake is an Adder!
