Fool ‘em with Nick Trost’s stunner using ten cards and then fool them again with eight cards – then hit them hard with an unexpected climax.
Ten playing cards are dealt face down into two piles of five cards and both you and a participant each select one pile, shuffle your cards and then hide them behind your backs.
You both secretly select a card and then you each insert your card face up into your face down packets.
When the two packs of cards are spread face down, both upturned playing cards exactly match each other; for instance, two Jack of Spades - an amazing coincidence!
You are both left with four cards each and you repeat the above sequence using these cards and again the turned over chosen two amazingly match each other, perhaps both being the Jacks of Spades once more, “Are all the cards the jack of spades?” spectators will ask.
Both of you are now left with three cards each, and rather suspiciously you apologise that the trick can no longer be repeated as you have both run out of cards. When the six cards are turned faces upwards your audience are in for an applause-pulling surprise as all the left-over cards are “None” cards!
