A fun mental effect suitable for all ages which has come straight out of my successful comedy magic & mentalism show. Super new updated version!
You have a number of picture cards which you explain each show a sock and since you are colour blind you would like two ladies to find you a matching pair of socks using their latent psychic abilities.
One lady chooses a sock by giving you a number that you count to and the other lady picks a sock entirely by chance but when the two picture cards are compared, they don’t match; they have chosen two odd socks.
This situation will cause much laughter and comment from your audience as you seem to have gone wrong, however undaunted you lift your trousers’ legs (perhaps stand on a chair and do this) to show that you are wearing two odd socks that exactly match the pair the ladies have selected! At this point you can mention that you have another pair of socks at home that perfectly match with the odd ones you are wearing.
But there is a sock finish to come for you admit that you knew in advance that the ladies would choose this odd-looking combination, so confident that you didn’t bother with any other pictures, so saying you show the discarded picture cards are all blank!
If you wish instead of wearing the socks, you can have them in a small gift bag which you introduce as your prediction, making this remarkable trick suitable for table-hopping etc. All can be left for examination. Socks may vary.
