You talk about the influence colours have on our decisions in life, explaining that colour can significantly affect our emotions, so the psychologists say.
To demonstrate the influence that colours have on our minds, you show two C6 sized envelopes (114mm X 162mm) let’s say one is blue and the other red (colours will vary from set to set) and you describe what psychologists say about these two colours.
Explaining that inside each envelope you have placed a prediction concerning which colour will appeal to a member of your audience from this choice of two colours.
A lady is invited to make a free choice of either colour, changing her mind as often as she wishes until she settles for one or the other, once she does you can give her a reading on the colour of her choice before opening the envelope and removing your prediction for the lady to read out loud. The prediction causes much amusement to the rest of the audience and to the lady herself.
The lady is invited to say why she felt drawn to that colour. No matter what her explanation you tell her that you are very pleased she did, and you offer to show her the note inside the coloured envelope she rejected, which turns out to be a fifty pounds banknote!
No force is used, the lady has a free choice of colour. Nothing else is used save the two-coloured envelopes we supply, and a genuine banknote. We also provide a few extra envelopes in case the first ones you use need replacing (and we predict you will be performing Colour Influence on a regular basis).
