Rorschach Inkblot Test

Product ID: 2875

Rorschach Inkblot Test was published in 1921 by Hermann Rorschach who was a psychiatrist from Switzerland.

An inkblot test is a personality test which involves the evaluation of a subject’s response to ink blots; a method of psychological assessment. Psychologists use this test in an attempt to examine the personality characteristics and emotional functioning of their patients.

The interpretation of people's responses to the Rorschach Inkblot Test was originally based on psychoanalytical theory but investigators have also used it in an empirical fashion.

During this test people are shown a series of ink blot splodges, the subject looks at each ink blot for a moment, turning them in various ways, and then says what they think it looks like or reminds them of.

Mentalists can use them to apparently read people’s minds, revealing thoughts of cards, colours, words, pictures and names, thus hiding their true secret methods and applying a form of pseudo psychology to their revelations.

They can also be used to give psychological readings of people’s personalities past, present and possibly future events making a nice change from the more traditional style of Tarot or cold readings. Ideal for Psychic Fayres, Garden Parties, after dinner entertainments, night clubs and similar functions.

Comes with a set of TEN different pocket size Inkblot cards and several clever ideas for their use in your shows. People will be both intrigued & fascinated when you include this novel item in your close-up and cabaret work.
