Originally performed and taught to me by the late Tony Corinda. “Impossible!” is what your spectators will be saying when you present this effective ESP experiment.
You show five poker sized ESP cards each with a different sign on their face these being a Circle, Cross, Wavy Lines, Square and Star. All the cards have a standard back design on their rear and none of them are marked in any way.
You also have two unfaked nesting envelopes, one slightly bigger than the other, which can be examined by your spectators.
An audience member freely chooses any of the five symbols with the cards behind his back (positively no force) turns it face up and loses it in the middle of the packet of five cards, which are then sealed into the small envelope, which in turn is also sealed inside the larger envelope.
The packet can then be placed by a spectator into his wallet which in turn is dropped into their inner jacket pocket or hidden about their person.
It is obvious nobody could possibly know the freely chosen ESP sign.
Using the powers of your mind you can then reproduce on a sheet of ordinary paper or card the very sign so completely hidden from sight! No wonder they will all say, “That’s impossible!”
Repeat it again using a different symbol. Easy to do.
