This is a favourite trick for both children and adults' shows featured by leading magicians worldwide.
Three solid wooden blocks which are on a wooden dowel stand that passes through them from top to bottom are removed and shown.
A top hat or other container is also shown empty and it is demonstrated that the blocks will fit inside.
The blocks are returned to the dowel and the centre one magically vanishes, only to be found back inside the top hat!
