You show a jumbo-sized card peeping out of the top of an A5 sized envelope and explain this is your prediction; just one single card in an envelope. You leave it in full view.
From a regular pack of playing cards one card is chosen by any spectator, will it match your jumbo prediction card? You continue, “Please name your card – the Queen of Hearts, would you be surprised if the jumbo prediction card inside my envelope was your card? You would? Well here is the surprise, it IS your card!”
So saying, you remove the card peeping out of the envelope to show printed on its face in bold black letters the words ‘Your Card’.
After all the laughter (and groans) this produces dies down you confess this is just a gag and continue, “Would you be surprised if the actual picture of your card was on the other side?” you turn your prediction over to show that all fifty-two cards in the deck are printed on the opposite side. You point to the Queen of Hearts saying, “There she is, can you see her? The lady says it is too small! I’ll make it bigger…” so saying the card drops open to reveal a giant A4 size Queen of Hearts - a failsafe applause-puller if ever there was one as you quip, “Is this one big enough for you?”
