Asking if anyone is thirsty and would like a drink you spread several cards face down on the table, each of which you claim contains a different drink. You also place a grocery bag to one side saying that this contains your predicted beverage.
Your thirsty volunteer, assisted by you, eliminates the cards one by one and as each card is eliminated you turn it over to show that it names an attractive thirst-quenching drink.
The participant is left with the final face down card – and opens the prediction packet to find it contains a bottle of water (or a can of Coke or in the right circumstances even a baby’s milk bottle complete with teat – you can choose ANY prediction drink).
The final card is turned over by your participant to find it names your prediction drink – which the participant can take home!
