The Dead Name Test has been featured to great acclaim by most of the big names in mentalism for well over a hundred years.
I featured it myself as the highlight of my two-person act during the 1950s & early 70s. I then decided with the help of my cousin Roy Baker to start to perform as a one-man mentalist and I was looking for a way of still presenting the Dead Name Test as it always knocked every audience sideways, making the perfect climax to my show.
Baker suggested a method he had used, but for me it was a little hit and miss at times, I worked on his idea and eventually ironed out the problems and went on to perform it for many years until my retirement from professional showbusiness.
In this improved stunning effect, you not only reveal the paper of a deceased person from amongst several living and one dead names compiled by the audience, but actually reveal the dead person’s full name that a participant was picturing in their mind, in the most dramatic presentation ever!
No skill is required save that of showmanship. No billet switches or anything difficult.
