This is a comedy version of our popular item Three-Card Opener. Nothing else is used except three Giant playing cards each of a different value.
Telling your audience that you are going to explain how the next trick is done you show the faces of the three playing cards individually and mix them together until an audience member calls you to stop.
Now ask a spectator to name any one of the three – they really do have a free choice; no force is required.
No need for them even to leave their seat, they simply call out loud which one of the three cards they prefer and can even change their mind.
Now show the backs of the two giant cards NOT chosen, to prove that these are eliminated.
Turn over their chosen card and they will be astounded to find that you have predicted the very one that they have so very freely selected!
We are not going to give away the laughter-provoking explanation that you promised here – sufficient to say it is strong comedy and the kind of thing that Tommy Cooper would have loved – a guaranteed comedy finish to a very strong effect.
