You take a picture out of an ordinary envelope that depicts a Fairy Godmother, explaining that she has heard Cinderella hasn’t a suitable gown to wear for the Royal Ball, so the Fairy Godmother asks the children to say a magic word and she will wave her magic wand and work her magic.
The picture is slipped back into the envelope and the children call out the magic word - after which you remove the card to show Cinderella looking really beautiful in a lovely evening dress.
You decide to do the magic in reverse just to show your magic is better than the Fairy Godmother’s, and you again remove the card to show Cinderella has changed back into the Fairy Godmother. This is repeated several times; first it’s the Fairy Godmother, then Cinderella.
The children are not fooled however, for you keep turning the envelope around and the children suspect the card is just double-sided. You remove the card with the Cinderella side facing the audience then after the usual fun of the “turn it around” business you do as the children demand but the Fairy Godmother has magically transferred into a handsome Prince!
But the children are still not fooled they want to know what is inside the envelope.
A small child is allowed to reach inside, “to prove it is empty’ and says he can feel something within.
He takes it out to reveal it is one of Cinderella’s evening slippers, that the handsome Prince tries on her foot before asking her to be his Royal Bride.
As to to the suspected envelope, you tear it open to show it is completely empty and that your magic is real!
Alternately, you can reveal the envelope has Spring Flowers inside (not supplied but available at low cost on our website) so that Cinderella can carry them on her wedding day.
