You show a pack of cards front and back – it can be clearly seen that all fifty-two cards are present. Any person in your audience is invited to merely think of any card in the pack – they really do have a free choice of card; positively no force method is used.
Without asking any questions you mark one of the cards in the pack with a big ‘X’ mark, using a permanent marking pen to do so. Only when you have marked one of the cards in the freely shown pack does the participant name the card that they are merely thinking of. Incredibly, when you show the card named it is the one with your ‘X’ mark on it! A truly extraordinary mindreading effect that is so very easy to do.
In an alternative presentation, spectators can mark the card for themselves and they find that they have correctly marked the very card they were merely thinking about.
·A full pack of fifty-two cards plus jokers are used.
·Both backs and faces of the cards are shown.
